Willie Green, III Obituary

Willie Green III, affectionately known as "Chucky," was born on June 20, 1977, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to the late Lathia Thompson and Willie Green Jr. He peacefully departed this life on Sunday, August 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength that will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate to know him.

Chucky grew up in Bainbridge, where he attended Bainbridge High School. He was a diligent and hardworking student, known for his gentle demeanor and respect for others. After graduating with the class of 1997, Chucky remained deeply connected to his hometown, always carrying with him the values of humility, loyalty, and integrity that were instilled in him from a young age.

Chucky was the embodiment of quiet strength. His reserved nature was often mistaken for shyness, but those who truly knew him understood that his silence was a reflection of his deep thoughtfulness, patience, and wisdom. He had an incredible ability to make those around him feel valued and appreciated, always listening more than he spoke, and offering a helping hand whenever needed. His kindness was boundless, extending to everyone he met, whether family, friends, or strangers.

Chucky loved his family with an unbreakable bond. He was always ready to do anything for anyone, and his actions spoke louder than words. His love was expressed through his dedication, support, and the small, thoughtful gestures that made a big difference in the lives of those he loved.

For many years, Chucky worked at Flint River Mills F.R.M., where he was known as a dedicated and hardworking employee. His colleagues admired his reliability and the calm, steady presence he brought to the workplace. Chucky's commitment to his job was matched only by his commitment to his loved ones, and he balanced both with grace and integrity. He took pride in his work and always gave his best, no matter the task.

Beyond his work, Chucky found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished time spent with his family, whether at gatherings filled with laughter and stories or quiet moments at home. He had a special bond with each of his family members, and he was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure their happiness and well-being. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he made sure they knew how much they meant to him.

Chucky is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lathia Dianne Thompson and Willie Green Jr., whose memories he cherished deeply. Though they are no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing that Chucky has now been reunited with them in peace.

"He leaves behind a family that will forever miss his presence but will cherish the countless beautiful memories they shared with him. Chucky is survived by his son, Malcom Green of Bainbridge, the light of his life. He also leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Taishia Jackson (Avil) and Therice Cull, both of Bainbridge; two special daughters, LaShanta McCray and LaQueasha Brooks; and one very special cousin, Oneal Davis. He is also survived by five aunts: Margaret Thompson, Sydell Thompson, and Janice Thompson, all of Bainbridge; Seaesther Thompson of Detroit, Michigan; and Thelma Hickman of Tallahassee, Florida. From the Green family, Chucky leaves behind two sisters, Cheryl Green and Felicia Davis of Quincy, Florida, and three brothers, Ronterrious Green (Dana), Cornelius Green (Adriane), and Darius Green (Taquandra), all of whom will carry on his legacy of love and kindness."

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find solace in the knowledge that Chucky is now at peace. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew him. Chucky's spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will forever be cherished.

As we say goodbye to our dear Chucky, we celebrate the life he lived—a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering love, and a gentle soul that brought light to all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, Willie Green III will never be forgotten.

Fly high, Chucky. You’ve earned your rest. We love you, and we will carry your memory with us always.
