Willie Ray Carter

Willie Ray Carter was born to the late Willie Joe Carter, Sr. and Mattie Carter. He departed his earthly home on Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was educated in the Alabama Public School System. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church where he loved serving the Lord until his health started to decline. Willie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Annie Grace Jones. He loved fishing, gardening and automotive mechanics. He worked at Engelhard for many years. Willie entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the age of 75. He had two brothers who preceded him in death, Joe Frank Carter and Oscar Carter. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Sharon Garland (Tommy), Pamela Jones, Learom Jones Carter (Lashia), Fenester Whigham (Greg), Katrina Carter, and Evay Carter; his siblings: Robert Carter (Wendy), Willie Joe Carter, Jr. (Nita), Leroy Carter, Annie Ruth Huntley (Johnny), Lois Brown (Willie James) and Clete Murle Carter, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
