Mother Virgeline “Lil Mama” Sweet Miller
A TIME TO BE BORN: Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother & great great grandmother, Virgeline Sweet Miller was the youngest child born from the union of the late Neal Sweet and the late Ethel Bradley Parrish Sweet on February 14, 1932, in Decatur County. She was educated by the Decatur County School System and was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Jesse Miller. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters & brothers.
A TIME FOR WORSHIP: Our Mother was a faithful woman of God that seeked to know him through reading, studying, singing & worship. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Saint Paul P. B. Church & First Community P. B. Church for many years; later she joined Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend David Johnson and remained an active member on the Mother Board until her departure from earth.
A TIME TO LIVE: Aside from serving the Lord, Mother Miller loved spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed singing, fishing, gardening, traveling, shopping, cooking delicious food from scratch, baking 7 layered cakes & baking her signature jelly cakes. Mother Miller showed love, compassion & offered words of encouragement to every person she met.
A TIME OF DEPARTURE: Mother Miller, best known as Lil Mama, received her earthly departure on August 6, 2022 and leaves to cherish 7 children, John A. Dixon of Bainbridge, GA; Bobby D. Sweet of Attapulgus, GA; Perry B. Sweet of Bainbridge, GA; Shirley Campbell of Attapulgus, GA; Diane Brown of Attapulgus, GA; Alice V. Sweet of Bainbridge, GA and Elder Lamar Sweet (Lafaye) of Attapulgus, GA; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren; God blessed her with 2 additional children, George Hadley, III of Thomasville, GA and Ashley Miller of Bainbridge, GA; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, special friends that called to check on her, her church family & friends in the community who will miss her dearly.
