Vera Lee (Byrd) Bailey

On Monday, October 21, 2019, Mrs. Vera Lee B. Bailey, peacefully gained her wings and took her flight to Heaven to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Born on April 12, 1939 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Henderson and Bertha T. Byrd. She resided in Bainbridge, Georgia her entire life. Vera found Christ at an early age. She joined Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church and was a devoted and faithful member until her health began to fail. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henderson and Bertha T. Byrd, her husband, Fulton Bailey, her brothers, Frank Byrd and Johnnie Byrd, her sisters, Mary Jane Byrd, Inez McCoy and Eartha Brabham. She will forever be in the hearts of her beloved family….her six children, Jacqueline Bailey of Niceville, Florida; Phyllis Bailey of East Saint Louis, Illinois; Joseph Bailey (Felicia) of Daleville, Alabama; Monica Bailey Harmsen (Robert) of Holland, Michigan; Anthony Bailey of Bainbridge, Georgia; and Alexander Bailey (Tawanna) of Bainbridge, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; her sister, Lottie Byrd (Henry) of Bainbridge, Georgia; her brother, Henderson Byrd (Nita) of Decatur, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
