Brother Tony Leon Griffin, Sr. was born on January 26, 1965 in Quincy, Florida to the late Lonnie Griffin, Sr. and Annie Mae Griffin. He departed his earthly home on August 4, 2020 in Bainbridge, Georgia. He attended James A. Shanks High School in Quincy, Florida. He was a member of Nelson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church under the leadership of Reverend Reynolds. He was a loving, caring husband, father, uncle and friend to everyone he greeted. Throughout his life he was employed at McDonalds for over twenty-five years. Starting as a Manager and later to Maintenance. He worked in Bainbridge as well as other surrounding areas including Tallahassee, Quincy, Cairo, Thomasville and Camilla. He left a true impact on every employee he worked with as well as the band students. On Friday nights he would spend them right alongside the band his daughter was a part of during school and continued to volunteer his time to help. He was an amazing role model and father figure to those who didn't have a father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Griffin, Sr. and Annie Mae Griffin and one sister, Elouise Whitfield. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of twenty-six years, Mary Ann Griffin, two daughters: Toni Shantel Griffin and Porsha Lashay Griffin, one son: Tony Leon Griffin, Jr., six brothers: Author Whitfield of Quincy, Florida; Henry Jeffery, Jr. (Brenda) of Midway, Florida; Lonnie Griffin, Jr. (Kare) of Rochester, New York; Lasalle Griffin of Quincy, Florida; Christopher Griffin of Lexington, KY; Ricky Griffin of Tallahassee, Florida; two sisters: Shirley Griffin of Gretna, Florida; Della Daughtery (Mike) of Tallahassee, Florida; eleven grandchildren; one brother-in-law: Ruben Hill and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends he loved.
