Sylvia Campbell Obituary

Sister Sylvia S. Campbell, a lifelong resident of Decatur County, was born on July 14,
1962, to the late Mr. Howard Campbell and Mrs. Carrie Campbell.
On Monday, December 29, 2025, Sister Sylvia peacefully took the Lord’s hand and went home
to be with Him. She was surrounded by her loving family as she made her transition.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dannette Campbell, Virginia Campbell,
and Shirley James Campbell; and her twin brother, Sylvester Campbell.
Education and Work
Sister Sylvia received her education in the Decatur County School System and earned her high
school diploma from Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, Georgia. She spent many years
doing what she loved most caring for children, bringing warmth, patience, and kindness to all
whose lives she touched.
Christian Journey
At an early age, Sister Sylvia accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Her faith remained an
important part of her life, guiding her through every season.
Cherishing Her Memory
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her sisters: Mae H. Williams; Carolyn Ferguson of
Attapulgus, GA; Claudine Campbell; and Stephanie Campbell of Bainbridge, GA; brothers:
Byron Campbell of Quincy, FL, and Michael Campbell of Bainbridge, GA.
She is also survived by her aunts: Eloise Sapp-Bell of Attapulgus, GA; Hele Blake of Quincy,
FL; Brenda Breedlove of Bainbridge, GA; and Daisy Campbell of Albany, GA; and her uncles:
Jessie Campbell and Walton Sapp, both of Attapulgus, GA, Franklin Sapp of Bainbridge,
GA., and Tyrone Campbell of Albany, GA
Her legacy continues through her precious gems: Keonna Campbell, Melah Baker, Gracelyn
Johnson, Demi Baker, Ashley Cason, Laterica Fountain, Donnie Evans, Manterria Campbell, and
Keith Calloway, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Sister Sylvia Campbell will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for family, her devotion
to God, and the care she showed to others throughout her life.
