Starlin Hutchins Obituary

Starlin Kimberly Mayberry Hutchins was born on March 24, 1960 in Saint Augustine, Florida to Ronald Coleman and Jeanette Mayberry Smiley at East Coast Hospital. She departed this earthly journey on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the age of fifty-nine. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Nelson Chapel A.M.E Church in Bainbridge,Georgia.  Kim sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She later joined Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Adolph Noble, Sr. She attended Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, Georgia graduating in the class of 1978. She worked at Friendship House of Jesus, Bainbridge Housing Authority and as a caregiver for Mr. Stanley Barr. She was well liked and loved by all the children in the community. Kim was always willing to serve in the school, church, and various community organizations whenever needed. Kim had a beautiful life. She met and married James Hutchins, Sr. in 1981 and to this union three children were born Derrick, James and Michael. She loved her children and grandchildren and was always there for them. Kim was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hattie Mae Wilson Mayberry, great grandparents, Joe and Minnie Kendrick, great grandfather, George Mayberry, Sr. (Florence), great aunt, Ruby Wilson Johnson, and great uncle, George Mayberry, Jr. Kim leaves to cherish her precious memories: husband, James William Huthchins Sr.; sons, Derrick DaShawn Hutchins, James William Hutchins, Jr. and Michael Deon Hutchins; grandchildren, Keasha Herring, Jamari-Mosely, Jamie Janae Hutchins, Melissa Washington, Kayshawn Hutchins, Julius Hutchins, Zoryinna Bell, Daviontae Bell, Derek Davis,  MyKayla Henry, Jaxvier Madge, and Joel Gilmore; a devoted mother, Jeanette Mayberry Smiley; a devoted step-father, Herbert Smiley; father, Ronald Lawrence Rueben Coleman (Gwendolyn); sisters, Catherine Coleman (Savage), Lisa Coleman and Rhonda Coleman (Sharper), stepbrother, Kenneth Baulkman; uncle, Charles Hall; godmother, Harriet Jewel McIver Hodges; godchildren, Starlia Kimeshia Williford, Jarrod Williams, and Al Webb; sisters-in-law, Iretha Richardson (Earlie J) and Betty Edwards; brothers-in-law, Donell Hutchins, Sr. (Joanne), Timothy Hutchins (India) and Albert Hutchins and a host of other cousins and friends.
