Samantha Renea Backey

Samantha Renea Backey was born to Paula Anne Backey and Hezekiah Backey, Jr. on January 30, 1975 in Donalsonville, Georgia. Samantha was called home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama with her oldest daughter by her side. Samantha was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Brinson, Georgia. She attended School in Bainbridge, Georgia and was a Bainbridge High School Graduate in the Class of 1993. She went on to further her education at Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia where she obtained her Associates in Accounting. Later, she received her Masters in Accounting at Georgia Southern University. Samantha was employed at Direct Auto Exchange in Tallahassee, Florida as a Sales Accounting Manager. She loved her job and her coworkers. She was very dedicated and enjoyed her career. Samantha loved spending time with her family and shopping. She was very kind hearted and would lend you the shirt off her back. She had a smile and personality that would brighten up anyone's day. Samantha is survived by her parents, Paula Anne Backey of Brinson, Georgia; Hezekiah Backey, Jr.of Baker County; three children, Shana Backey, Shayla Allen, Anthony Allen; two grandsons, Demarvion Backey, Kenden Williams; two brothers, Ricky Backey of Blakely, Georgia; Marvin Hartsfield of Columbus, Georgia and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind someone very dear to her heart, Kaya Gadson of Orlando, Florida.
