Sam "Lil Man" Foster, of Bainbridge, Georgia; passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the age of 56. Sam was born to Sam Johnson and Nellie Mea Foster on November 5,1963 in Fowlstown, Georgia. He grew up as the youngest of two and later in life learned that he had a brother. He graduated from Bainbridge High School In the Class of 1982. He was definitely a family man, who we mostly knew as “Lil Man”. He was hard working and just had a spirit about him that intrigued you, to know him was to love him. He knew just how to make you laugh and what made you tick, a kind hearted, charismatic and man who everyone loved.
Sam is survived by a loving companion, Egalina "Lynn" Colston, a special bonus daughter, Savannah, sister, Mary Ward, brother, Steve Jefferson (Stephanie ) and children of West Palm Beach, Florida; great aunt, Lula B. Rush, aunt, Shirley Foster (Willie Charles), uncle, Charles Borden (Betty); special nieces, Latisha Herring, Tamica Ward of Houston, Texas; special nephew, Toccara “Snake” Herring, special cousins, Annie Foster and Mary McArthur (Johnny) and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends that will keep his memories alive forever. He is preceded in death by his mom, Nellie Mea Foster, his dad, Sam Johnson and a long list of special aunts and uncles that he was very close with.
At this time there will be no services held due to the national pandemic. Family and friends will announce a prayer vigil at a later date. The family is grateful for the condolences, flowers and donations.
