Robert Lee Gainer, Sr.

God opened up the gates of Glory and welcomed home an Angel at dawn on Friday, January 31, 2020. Mr. Robert Lee Gainer was born on February 25, 1951 in Randolph County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Inez Williams Stanford and Mr. Joe Gainer. He attended the Decatur County Public School System. He worked forty-five plus years at Southeastern Minerals of Bainbridge, Georgia. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was loved by all who knew him. Robert leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories and irreplaceable sense of pride to his wife, Martha Gainer, three daughters, Teresa Gainer, Sherry Gainer (Labarrette) and Sheila Murphy all of Bainbridge, Georgia; three sons, Robert Gainer, Jr. (Shemekia) of Tallahassee, Florida; Tyrone Murphy (Caroline) of Donalsonville, Georgia; Jamaine Gainer of Bainbridge, Georgia; sisters, Estella Harris (Arthur) of Albany, Georgia; Patricia Ann Douglas of Rockingham, North Carolina; Gloria Jean Jones (Kenneth) of Albany, Georgia; brothers, Charlie James Stanford (Judy Ann) of Columbus, Georgia; Frankie Lewis Stanford (Kimberly) of Tampa, Florida; Willie James Stanford of Atlanta, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
