Phyllis was born on January 19, 1951 to the late Gene and Georgia Wright of Fowlstown,
Georgia. She was the youngest of her siblings. Phyllis received her education in the public
schools of Decatur and Early County. Phyllis accepted Christ at an early age at Arm of
Faith Missionary Baptist Church-Bancroft in Blakey, GA.
In 1975, Phyllis met the love of her life Andrew “Dump” Williams. They were married for
38 years. Andrew became ill in 2011, where Phyllis cared for him and was by his side until
he was laid to rest.
Phyllis devoted herself to being the best daughter, mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt
and friend to everyone who had the pleasure of having her in their lives. She was the
epitome of a caretaker and homemaker. She loved dancing and being with her family.
Phyllis never turned anyone away who came to her door. If you ever wanted a smile or a
laugh, Phyllis would do that for you. Her radiant spirit and life will be missed and
cherished in all our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Wright; a very special son-in-law
Kenneth Roseborough; sisters, Mattie Rea Wilkins, Annie Bea Jefferson, Cora Mae
Wright, and Genie Mae Wright and brothers, Johnny Lee Hollie, Willie James (Bigman)
Hollie, Steve Hollie, Eddie B Wright, Freddie Lee Wright, Alfred Wright and Alexander
