Oney Mae “Pookie” Lovett, 61, of Donalsonville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born to the late Charles “Charlie and Curley “Mubba” Baby King of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Oney was preceded in death by her beloved children, Elvira Elaine Molly, Grace King and Willie Forrest Williams; granddaughter, Alannah Lynae Mann; her siblings, John “Boy” Johnson, Joe Edward King (Lydia), Barbara Walker, Mack Henry King, Sr. and Michael Anthony King. Born in Miami, Florida; Oney attended Boyd Anderson High School and later obtained her GED. Oney later began her journey of motherhood with three sons. God blessed her with love and companionship from her husband and his daughters. Thus, completing her family. Oney devoted her life to being an involved and compassionate caretaker for her mother and father. Throughout her life she remained a pillar for her siblings, nieces and nephews. Oney gracefully enforced obedience and order. Oney leaves behind countless memories of the fight she showed to be “EVERYBODY’S MOMMY”. Oney was a passionate person for life. Oney worked mostly for herself. Her business was Blessed Cleaning and Janitorial Services. Oney loved movies, fishing, traveling and enjoyed all of nature’s adventures. Her time here was extraordinarily joyful. Oney really enjoyed life itself. Now Oney’s in God’s mansion looking for “Mubba” and Mr. Charlie saying…”HEY YOU CHILD!!” is survived by her loving husband, Andrew “Charles” Lovett; her children, Shontrice “Trice” Gaynor, James Lamar “Cricket” Williams (Katherine), Christopher Corvellius Smith, Andrea “Angel” Lovett and Shamekia “Keepooh” Wright; her cherished grandchildren, Exzavier “Zae” Lewis, Charity “Chaz” Gaynor, Mariah Williams, Makayla Williams, Andrew Williams, Sabrina Williams, Christian Williams, Makenzie Smith, Jeffery Mann, Andrew “Ace” Mann, Eric Wright, Toniya Anderson, Chandler Wright and Jamari Wright; her siblings, Kella Mae Stanley (John Henry), Charlie Maud Reeves (Lloyd), Joevelyn “Penny” Jackson (William), Janie Howard (James), Hattie Mae Duirden (James), Elvira Tokas (Darryl), Tommy King (Phyllis) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
