Mrs. Gloria Turner Obituary

Gloria Jean (Evans) Turner  was born January 25, 1956, in Grady County,  to the late Bennie Lee Evans and Electa (Harrell) Evans.  Gloria confessed CHRIST at an early age and faithfully served HIM throughout the community until her health failed and she was called home. She received an education in the public school system, part of the class of 1975, in Bainbridge, Georgia.  She joined in holy matrimony to Michael Anthony Turner Sr. To this union, five children were born and  one stepdaughter. 

Gloria was an outstanding housewife for thirty-six years to her loving husband and family.  She enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, journaling throughout the day,  and working in the yard planting various flowers and gardening.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anthony Turner, Sr., her parents, Bennie Lee  Evans and  Electa (Harrell) Evans, and siblings, Aaron Evans, Carolyn (Evans) White, Linda (Evans) Williams, and James Evans. 

She leaves to cherish her memory six  loving children: Asheia Douglas (Denton) of Atlanta, GA, Zachary Lamonte Turner of Jacksonville, FL, Katisha Brooks (Dennis) of Bainbridge, GA,  Kendra Turner (David) of Cairo, GA, Michael Anthony Turner Jr. of Thomasville, GA, and Deltrice Turner of Newark, NJ.  She also leaves  her legacy behind to twelve precious grandchildren and  two loving sisters: Helen Mills (Clisby) of Whigham, GA and Kathy Bradshaw(Rodriquez) of Climax, GA.  

Gloria is also survived by  her  mother-in-law:  Sadie Glenn (Mitchell), brother-in-laws: Dexter Wimberly of Jacksonville, FL, Wesley Turner, Jr., Wayne Anthony Turner of Quincy, FL, and sister-in-law:  Kimberly Glenn (Arthur) of Cairo, GA.  Her special friends who she loved dearly include: Catherine Foster of Climax, GA,  Alesia Brinson (Eddie) of Bainbridge,GA,  Mamie Lou Griffin of Bainbridge, GA and devoted cousin: Grace Arnett of Climax, GA. In addition to a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
