Mary Sue Porter Madge, the daughter of the late Wesley Lee
Porter Sr. and Mary Ann Waters was born on June 27th 1950 in
Arlington, GA.
On November 7th, 2022, the Lord graciously welcomed Sue to
her heavenly home. She was educated in the public schools of
Early County.
She worked tirelessly to provide a loving home for her children
and grandchildren and to whoever was in a need, all with a
smile.
Sue enjoyed caring for her plants and quartet gospel singing.
She loved to attend gospel music programs throughout the
south Georgia and North Florida area. We knew she had to be
Lee Williams’ biggest fan. Sue also enjoyed her daily sitting
outside with neighbors to “catch up” and enjoy the beautiful
sunshine and puzzle book.
Sue accepted Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove MB
Church in Fowlstown Ga, where she attended regularly until
her health prevented.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her
husband, Henry, brother, Wesley Porter Jr., sisters, Marie
Blackshear and Rutha Mae Brinson.
Sue lived a full life surrounded by a multitude of family and
friends.
Sue leaves to cherish her precious memories, eleven children,
Bruce(Jewel), Daphene, Christopher (Keena), Cynthia, Titus,
Lorenzo, Allen (Tiffany), Frederick (Lakeatia), Qutin (Almeda),
Lakeshia, and Sherese. A host of grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and
friends.
