MARILYN YVONNE JACKSON SANDERS was born June 13, 1939 to Loreatha King and Latra
Jackson. She attended Hutto High School graduate class of 1959. She accepted Christ at an
early age and joined First African Baptist Church in West Bainbridge where she sang in the
choir. She worked several jobs among them painting carports at the base, American Electric,
Thomas and Betts, seamstress, crafter and caregiver to many.
Marilyn departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband
R. L. Sanders, her mother Loretha King, brother Willard Screen, step father Kale Jackson and
two sons Eric V. Sanders and Stuffon D. Sanders.
She leaves to cherish her memories daughters Terro Sanders -Pittman (Tim) Rocherster, NY;
Jessie Scott (Chris) Atlanta, GA; Erica Sanders Murrell (Mitch) Bainbridge, GA; sons Darrien
Sanders and Joe Smith both of Bainbridge, GA; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
memorable first cousin, Eleanor Ann Cox (Bobbie); a special bonus grandson, Jaylin Barthel
and a host of nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
