Lloyd Edwin Austin, Sr.

Lloyd Edwin Austin, Sr. was born May 21, 1956 to the late Ulysse and Beulah Austin. He received his secondary education in the Decatur County School System. He acknowledged Christ at an early age and carried that relationship throughout his life. As a radio personality he was Saint Christopher, the gospel messenger, bringing joy to all who listened to him. He was united in holy matrimony to Gail Sabrina Wright on March 2, 2009. They were parents to Lloyd Jr. (Chirtanni), Christopher, Christina (Devan), Nicole (Andreikes) and the late Jessica Aleata Austin. We will all remember Lloyd as the date keeper. Every month on the 24th, 28th and 29th he would remind us all the dates his loved ones were called home. The irony of his name is he gained his wings on his anniversary. Lloyd leaves to cherish his memories his children, his sisters and brothers: Leroy Austin (Barbara), Irene Scott, Mary Ann Austin, Henrietta Harris, Betty V. Blash, Eula M. Austin, George Austin (Miguelita), Darrious Austin, Julian Austin (Laqueita), Frederick Austin, one uncle, Robert Earl Sharpton along with thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
