Lisa M. Knight Phillips was born February 23, 1973 to the late Mary Lee and Clarence Knight.
The Lord called her home on January 25, 2023. She accepted Christ at an early age and became
a member of Second Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Attapulgus, Georgia.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and shopping.
She attended Public Schools in Decatur County and graduated from Bainbridge High School,
class of 1992. She later attended Miller Motte College in Columbus, GA where she received a
degree in Medical Billing Coding.
Lisa was survived by her husband, Hilton Phillips; three children, Angelica Close, Malik
Phillips, Malaysia Phillips, all of Bainbridge, Ga; one granddaughter, Laila Phillips; one brother
Micheal Johnson (Althea) of Bainbridge, Ga; one sister Debra Johnson of Columbus, Georgia;
two nephews Brian Johnson, Hernando Jones; one niece, Keisha Worthy Bainbridge, Ga; Two
God Daughters Tametriss Smart of Bainbridge Ga and Rasiyah Smith of Atlanta Ga; one uncle,
Harrison Williford who has been a father figure to her since the age of 12; Five aunts, J.Ann
Brown of Columbus, Ga; Mattie Smart of Havana Florida; Barbara Jean Correa(Juan) of
Orlando, Florida, Lucy Green and Cherry Bryant both of Bainbridge, Ga; uncle, Greggory
Smart of Tampa; Tanja Harper who has been more like a sister over the last 40 years; Two
special Friends, Antonio Thomas and Lisa Floyd and a host of other relatives and friends who
will miss her dearly.
