Johnny Ray Robinson was born on August 23, 1960 to Johnny and Vera Robinson. He departed this earthly journey on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of sixty. He graduated from Bainbridge high School in June of 1979. This year laid the foundation for much of Johnny’s life. On July 31, 1979 he joined the United States Army where he served faithfully until his retirement. At the end of the year on December 27, 1979, Johnny married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Paula E. Ector. Johnny and Paula were blessed with many experiences as a couple but their greatest blessing was that of being parents to their daughters, Rayetta K. Robinson and Mercedes Robinson. In 2017 Johnny became “Opa”, the name his only grandchild, Reagan Elizabeth, called upon again and again. Opa was Reagan’s personal superman. Johnny was a very spiritual man. God led him to his calling to preach in 2015. In 2016, Pastor Robinson founded Source of Life Ministries. He served his congregation and also the community. If you were blessed to know him, you know his greatest asset was his wisdom in riddles. If you didn’t understand at the time, he would say it wasn’t your time to get it. As life went on, when the time was right you would have that moment of clarity and understanding that stopped you in your tracks. As his nephews and nieces pinned it, “the light bulb moment.” Johnny will be loved always and missed by many. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Paula E. Robinson; two beautiful daughters, Rayetta K. Robinson and Mercedes Robinson; an amazing granddaughter, Reagan Elizabeth; his siblings, Larry Robinson (Gretchen), Charlease Robinson, Carlton Robinson (Leslie); aunts, Christine Bush and Rosie Lee Robinson; uncle, Roscelle Hayes; three cousins who were like sisters to him, Ollie Burns, Elizabeth Haire and Christine Smith; a very special friend and brother, Robert Gillislee (Pauline) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends.
