Johnny Mack Tatum, son of the late Hubert Tatum and Rosie Mae World Tatum Jerden, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the age of 69. He was born in Ellaville, Georgia on August 14, 1952. He was the president of the choir and church musician of Saint Paul Primitive Baptist, where he served faithfully for over 50 years. He was a musical legend in the South Georgia and North Florida areas. He enjoyed singing and playing the piano. One of his mottos were “make him go viral”. He leaves to cherish one daughter; Mrs. LaTasha Harris (Larry) of Tallahassee, Florida, two sons; Mr. Jerald Baker (Mia) of Jacksonville, Florida and Mr. Terald Baker of Brooksville, Florida, three sisters; Mrs. Bessie Tatum of Bainbridge, Georgia, Ms. Iomy Jones of Attapulgus, Georgia and Mrs. Inez Dixon of Albany, Georgia, two brothers; Mr. Willie Roy Tatum, Sr. of Pulaski, Tennessee and Mr. Clarence Tatum, Sr. (Shirley) of Bainbridge, Georgia; one niece he helped raise, Ms. Tametris English and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
