John Gibson

Mr. John Edward Gibson, Sr, affectionately known as "Gip", the son of the late Hobbie Gibson
and Annie Vera Gibson was born July 18, 1950 in Edison, Ga. He accepted Christ at a young
age. He attended public school in Attapulgus, GA.
John was well known and never met a stranger. He enjoyed riding his lawn mower daily. He
was a family man and enjoyed helping others.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Hobbie and Annie Vera Gibson, the love of
his life Annie Mae Gibson, sister Mattie Bailey and son Michael Taylor .
John leaves behind precious memories to his children Bancraft Calloway (Sherry); Schandler
Gibson, Ashely Gibson, John Gibson, Jr, Kendall Gibson (Melissa), and Tyrone Gibson
(Brenda). His siblings Johnny B. Gibson( late wife Carolyn), Christine Jones (Kenneth), Vera
Gibson (Tom), Barbara Branch (Bennie), Ida Smith (George), Sara Hill (Tyrone); sister-in-laws
Betty Calloway, Betty Holloman, Gladys Harris and Susie Buggs. He also leaves to cherish his
memories a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
