Jocelyn Campbell Obituary

Jocelyn Alana Campbell, an amazing mother, sister, teacher, and friend departed this life on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Valdosta, Georgia at the young age of 35. She was born on August 15, 1985 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack and Shirley Campbell. Always academically strong, Jocelyn graduated from Bainbridge High school in 2003 and earned a Bachelor’s in degree with honors in Early Childhood from Valdosta State University in 2006. Over the last 12 years, Jocelyn has worked tirelessly for the Valdosta City School System, and Jackson Heights Christian Academy. Jocelyn has always had a passion for teaching and reading. From her early years to adulthood she would easily read several books a week. Teaching and reading was more than a hobby. It was a gift and her favorite pastime. Jocelyn was able to bring this excitement to the classroom allowing her students to not only fall in love with curriculum but her. She was often recognized outside of the classroom and received with excitement. It is no surprise that Jocelyn gained the love of her students and colleagues alike. Though being a teacher was her passion, being a mother was her calling. Jocelyn was an excellent mother to her daughter Mackenzie, in which she loved with all of heart. She mastered being an advocate, friend, and mom. There was absolutely nothing that Jocelyn would not do for MacKenzie. She is preceded in death by her father, Mack Campbell Jr. and mother, Shirley Campbell. Jocelyn is survived by her daughter, Mackenzie Conyers; her sisters, Marquita Campbell, Stacey Campbell, Sonya Campbell, and brother, Jamichael Campbell and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Touching the lives of many, Jocelyn Alana Campbell, will always be remembered as a loving and caring person.
