Jessie Lee Glenn was born on February 22, 1942 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Rev. Smart Glenn and Late Estella (Milo) Glenn. He was the eldest son of this union that included eleven siblings. At an age early he accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior and join the Dry Springs Baptist Church in Climax, Georgia. He attended Hutto High School. Shortly after leaving school, he married Carolyn Stanley and from this union two daughters were born, Tammie D’vette Glenn Breedlove (who preceded him in death) and Litha Leshay Glenn of Rochester, New York. He then moved to New York City. He married Deloris M. Knox and to this union two daughters were born, Charisse Marie Glenn and Michelle Laverne Glenn. After retirement, he left New York and returned home and married the late Annie R. Perry, where they both attended Dry Springs, Climax Georgia. He left Bainbridge, Georgia in the1960’s ventured out to Brooklyn, New York where he worked for The State of New York (retired) twenty-seven years and Little Flower Children Charities (retired) twenty-two years. He worked for Bainbridge College for 10 years. He leaves to mourn, brothers: Ulysee Glenn of Bainbridge, Georgia and James Carson Glenn of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters: Lucille Jacobs (James), Lona Mae Glenn, Belinda Jackon, of Brooklyn, New York; Senella Watson, of Atlanta, Georgia; Mamie Brown, of Warner Robins, Georgia and Vonzia Shaw Gainesville, Florida; aunt, Mary Smart; two favorite cousins, Charles Rice and Osker Dugger; eleven grandchildren, Calvin Washington (Toccara), Rondell Breedlove, Shayla Glenn, Eric Glenn, Dominique Glenn, Tamara Rouse, Denzel Glenn, all of Rochester, New York; Ulysses Jessie Walls, of Albany, New York; Tamia Tucker and Tyra Tucker both of Piscataway, New Jersey; Demaris Owusu of Portland, Oregon; twelve great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Glenn, sisters, Thelma Smart and Josie Lyons, grandsons, Paris Divine Johnson and Tevin Lloyd Tucker.
