James Wilson Register (Chunk) was born on May 11, 1964 in Donalsonville, GA. He departed this life on February 25, 2021 in Tallahassee, FL. He is the son of the late James and Charlie Mae Register. James graduated from Seminole County High School in Donalsonville, GA in 1982 and went on to gain a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. At an early age, he joined Donalsonville Holiness Deliverance Church where he sang and played the guitar. James was a person who was full of life, fun and laughter. He was definitely the life of any party. He dedicated his life serving the community as a paramedic for Seminole County EMT service for over 35 years. James was an active member of the Buffalo Soldiers committee of Columbus, GA. He also owned and operated the famous Dawg Shack located in Donalsonville GA. James was a person who cared about anyone he came in contact with, He never hesitated to help a person that was in need. He loves his family and friends, they could count on him for encouragement as well as a good laugh. James is lovingly remembered by four children: James (Countess) Register III of Augusta, Ga; Brianna Register of Albany, Ga, Andre (Niya) Burgess and Ryan Register of Long Beach, NY. Five sisters: Earline Battle of Thomasville, Ga; Delois (Arthur) Curry of Thomasville, Ga; Violet Gelin of Thomasville, Ga; Tammy Register of Grovetown, Ga; Lisa Register of Donalsonville, Ga. Four brothers: Thomas (Sandra) Register of Cairo, Ga; Lorenza Johnson of Donalsonville, Ga; Morgan (Laretha) Register of Donalsonville, Ga; and Donald Greene of Donalsonville, Ga. James was preceded in death by two of his siblings, Samuel Johnson and Pauline Greene. James was blessed to have several grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
