James Edward Parrish

James Edward Parrish, Sr was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on August 29, 2026 to the late Louis Parrish and Rachel Samuel Parrish. Peggy opened her Angelic arms and summoned him to be with her on June 26, 2026 so that they may rejoice in heaven together. 

James was educated in the Decatur County School System and upon graduating he enlisted in the United States Army in 1978 until 1985. In his later years he worked for the Decatur County Board of Education for more than 20 years.
 James had a green thumb, he could revive the deadest of plants, he shared his birthday with Micahel Jackson and his nephew, Brian. 

He leaves his most precious memories with his children: Lora Scott(Andrew) of Jacksonville, Florida, Teshiki Parrish of Bainbridge, Georgia, and James Parrish, Jr(Martina) of Bainbridge, Georgia. His grandchildren: Jaemari Bowens, Ariel Bowens, Calvin Bowens III, Aniyah Parrish, Zariah Parrish, Ahlaysia Allen of Bainbridge, Georgia, Breece Sneed and Jermaine Jeffcoat of Jacksonville, Florida. His Great Grandchildren: Khilyn Bowens, Dillon Bowens, Kymora Bowens, Kolyon Bowens, and Colson Thorton. Sisters: Minnie S. Haire of Columbus, Georgia, Reatha Middleton(Emory) of Bainbridge, Georgia, and Julia Floyd of Rochester, New York. Brothers: Bobby Washington(Sylvia) of Bainbridge, Georgia, and Robert Washington(Shirley) of Augusta, Georgia. A lovely host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
