On May 4, 1952 the late R.T. Johnson and Beatrice Alexander Johnson were blessed with a son, James E. Johnson in Blakely, Georgia. He grew up in Attapulgus, Georgia and received education at Hutto High School at an early age. James later married and to this union six children were born. He worked for many years with South Eastern Minerals and later retired from Flint River Mills in 2015. As hours drew near on December 15, 2020 God chose another one of his children to come home and James Johnson quietly slipped away. He was preceded in death by six sisters: Mary Katherine (Kat), Helen, Doris, Maybelle and George Ann; two brothers: Johnny (Bubble) Johnson and J.T. Johnson; one special niece: Veronica Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories: four daughters: Janice Johnson Thornton (Nate), Latasha Johnson Marshall (Steven), Christina Johnson (Morris), Demedris Williams (Collen); two sons: Tony Worlds (Angela) and Joe Worlds (Shamyra); special niece and nephew: Kimberly Johnson Gordon and Elex Worlds; special great nephew: Trevon Blackmon; five sisters: Odessa Blackmon (Willie), Claretha McCombs, Jessie Mae Jackson, Martha Ann and Claude Mae; one brother: I.T.Johnson; twenty-three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and family.
