Eddie James Lewis, Sr

Mr. Eddie James Lewis Sr. was born September 3, 1956 to Mr. Dan Lewis and Mrs. Drucilla Emanuel Johnson in Decatur County, Georgia (Bainbridge). 

Bro. Eddie accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mount Zion AME Church. He was educated in the Decatur County School System. Bro. Eddie worked in construction for many years and was also employed with Engelhard Co. Earlier in life, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia and lived there for over 20 years. He later moved back home in 2021 to be closer to his family. Bro. Eddie will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him. Bro. Eddie passed away on December 2, 2022. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mr. Joe Lewis; (2) siblings; Ms. Mary Alice Lewis and Mr. Randolph Scott, Sr. and a nephew; Mr. Demarco D. Scott.

Bro. Eddie leaves behind his memories; (2) sons; Mr.Eddie James Lewis Jr. and Mr. LaMorris T. Lewis, both of Bainbridge, GA; (1) daughter; Ms. Sharese A. Lewis of Atlanta, GA; (4) grandchildren; Mi'Asiah Smith, Tymere Noble, Joe'bari Lewis and Demetrius Lucear; (2) brothers; Mr. Melvin Scott of Michigan and Mr. Willie C. Scott, Jr. of Bainbridge, GA; (5) sisters; devoted sister and caretaker: Mrs. Margaret S. Thompson (Megal) of Bainbridge,GA, Ms. Reather Scott of Jacksonville, FL; Mrs. Leather L. Lincoln (Elder Will Lincoln) of Tallahassee, FL; Mrs. Pamela S. Gordon (Damon Sr.) and Ms. Berlinda Close all of Bainbridge, GA; (1) aunt; Mrs. Corry N. Emanuel of Bainbridge, GA; a devoted friend; Ms. Dorothy Kinder and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
