Dorothy Louise Smith Goss was born on June 7, 1961 to the late Mamie Bell Smith and Lewis Smith of Albany, Georgia. She was the oldest of four children. Dot attended the Leon County Schools. She worked in the food industry and the nursing field for many years. Her hobby was cooking until her health failed. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend. She was well known and loved by many. Dot had two daughters who preceded her in death, Youlander Grant and Wendy Smith; and three siblings who preceded her in death, Mary Ann Swatts (Ira), Charity Thomas and James Lewis. Dot leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 20 years, Donalson Goss, Jr.; her children, Sharcarrio Smith, Daja Kendrick (Michael), Donald Goss (Sharon), Angela Goss (Darcy) and Yolonda Goss (Stacey); one sister, April Leflore (Ronnie); one brother, Jamie Keith (Gabby); six sisters-in-law, Florine Parris, Udean Parris, Nancy Chambers (Andrew), Ethel Johnson (Joe), Sarah Adams and Linda Goss; her best friend for many years, Doris Suldon; special aunt and uncle, Rosa and Ben Godbolt; twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
