Deloris Ann Pierce Corbitt was born on March 14, 1954, in Bainbridge, Georgia to the
late Osborne Pierce and the late Daisy Mae Wright Pierce.
She accepted Christ at a young age and was married to the late Henry Merritt and then
to the late Eddie Corbitt.
Deloris was educated in the Decatur County Schools and later went to the United States
Job Corps.
Deloris never lost faith and joined the Baker County Holiness Deliverance Church years
later. She was a faithful member.
On December 14, 2025, Deloris answered the ultimate call and went to rest in the arms
of the Lord. Known as “Lil Mama” by all who knew her, she was always giving to others
and willing to lend a helping hand. She loved thrift shopping, especially for purses and
shoes.
During her sickness, she was comforted by her grandson Greg and her granddaughter,
Oshanterria. They were by her side endlessly encouraging her and uplifting her spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Osborne and Daisy Mae Pierce, her brothers,
Ronnie Pierce, Joe Edward Wright, and Alfonsa Pierce, sisters Louvenia Wilson,
Patricia Mathis, and Mary Smart Burns.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Keith Merritt, Gregory (Mary Ann)
Merritt, and Calvin (Sharon) Merritt. One brother, Osborne (Lily Mae) Pierce and one
sister, Dorothy (Joe) Pierce. 16 grandchildren and 30 great grands and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
