Cleotha Edwards Chandler is the daughter of the late Dassie Edwards and Rossie Holt Edwards. She was born May 9, 1935 in Decatur County, Georgia.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church in the Fowlstown Community. Cleotha was a graduate of Attapulgus Mt. Moriah High School. She was employed with Amoco Fabrics for several years, after her retirement, she enjoyed staying home and helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cleotha was preceded in death by her parents, Dassie and Rossie Edwards, Sisters, Clara Jackson, Lula Mae Washington, and two brothers, Roscoe Edwards and Emmie Edwards.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lawson Lee Chandler, Jr. on February 1, 1957, during their 62 years of marriage they were blessed with nine children.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters, Caroline Chandler and Sondra Chandler, seven sons: Emmie Chandler(Mary) of Apopka, FL, James Chandler(the late Janet) of Havana, FL, Eric Chandler(Alver) of Hinesville, GA, Deric Chandler(Frances) of Sumter, SC, Lawson Chandler, III(Perry) of Climax, GA, Terrence Chandler(Monica) of Ellenwood, GA, and Toris Bass of Bainbridge, GA, nineteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
