Born in Toledo, Ohio on February 23, 1960 to Junior C, Shaffer and Jean J. Pomeroy Shaffer, he moved to Bainbridge, Georgia in the 1970s, Charlie became well known for his Mechanical, Carpentry, and Painting Skills as well as his wonderful advice.
Charlie loved fishing, small engines, spending time with family & friends, playing horseshoes, and bike riding. His favorite music bands were Journey, Forger, Bob Seger and Cole Swindle.
You could always either find Charlie fishing, with his family and friends, or watching his favorite show Gunsmoke.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Debra K. Johnson, brothers: Harry J. Shaffer and David W. Shaffer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Surviving relatives include a loving wife, Deborah West Shaffer, seven children: Robbie Shaffer(South Carolina), Glenn and Candace Cloud(Whigham, Georgia), Alex and Louanna Cloud(Bainbridge, Georgia), Chelsea Cloud(Bainbridge, Georgia), Derek and Christy Shaffer(Bainbridge, Georgia), Tina and Dan Tomlinson(Cairo, Georgia), and Charles and Jessica Shaffer(Blackshear, Georgia), brothers, Michael G.(Mary Jo)Shaffer(Pensacola, Florida), Earl C.(Terra)Shaffer(Alta, WV), Sisters: Sandy L.(Steven)Friend(Oakland, MD), Margaret O. Sines(Oakland, MD), and Pamela S.(Thomas)Lipscomb(WV), Twelve beautiful grandchildren and six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
