Sister Catherine Thomas was born on May 25, 1952 to the late Clarence and Earlene Harris in Havana, Florida. She passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, February 7, 2021at her home in Attapulgus, Georgia. She was educated at Mount Moriah in Attapulgus, Georgia. Cathy was converted at an early age and joined Smith Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Amsterdam, Georgia where she served faithfully. Cathy was united in holy matrimony to Henry Lee Thomas and from this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her mother, Earlene “Sister” DuPont Harris, her father, Clarence Harris, her sister, Margie Harris, three brothers, Rudolph Wilson, Robert Harris and Bobby Harris, her niece, Tyronnica Hill, her nephew, Duriel Harris and her uncle, Ralph DuPont. She leaves to cherish her most precious memories, one daughter, LaCountess Blocker (Nathaniel) of Bainbridge, Georgia; two sons, Labbarron Thomas (Wanda) of Bainbridge, Georgia; and Mikel Kendrick; one sister, Sarah Riles; one aunt, Anna Akins of Tallahassee, Florida; and one sister-in-law, Annie Ruth Wilson of Attapulgus, Georgia; six grandchildren, Paxton Amilca, Preston Blocker, Labbarron Thomas, Jr., Telisha Rogers, Anthony Rogers and Jason Anderson, one great granddaughter, Jordyn Amilca, one goddaughter, Mary Wimberly and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends.
