Carolyn Jeanette Aldridge, affectionately known as “Mae”, was born February 11, 1944 in Grady County, Georgia to Mr. Horace and Mrs. Orangie Lee Scott. She accepted CHRIST at an early age and was a member of the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Bainbridge, Georgia. Carolyn attended schools of Grady and Decatur Counties. She worked for Memorial Hospital and Bainbridge State Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Carolyn loved being outside in her yard, preserving jellies and making blankets for her loved ones using her crochet skills. She also thoroughly enjoyed eating good food and attending the various area festivals. Mae will be missed on earth as a. Christian woman, devoted mother, loving grandmother, encouraging sister, playful aunt and caring cousin, but she will be welcomed with Open Arms by her HEAVENLY FATHER. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orangie Lee and Horace, daughter, Jeanetta and brothers, Albert and Ricky. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Angela (Calvin), James (Kim) and Reginald (Carolyn); sister, Arleatha (Robert); grandchildren, Toi (Anthony), Rickia, Ricky II, Edward (Spuntannia), Larissa (Harold), Taimeka (Tony), Artesa, Justin, Quentin and Damian; a host of great grandchildren, including Ka’reem, the youngest of the bunch; nieces, Debbie and Nikki; nephews, Trey, Shaun, Dankee, Jazz and Rodrick; great nieces, aunts and cousins.
