Betty Ann Smith-Tucker was born April 2, 1959 to the late Geroge Tucker and the late Mary Virginia Smith. She was the eldest of eight siblings. redeeming her life to Christ at an early age Betty joined the family church, St Paul Primitive Baptist Church of Attapulgus, Georgia. Betty achieved her education through the Decatur County School System, a member of the graduating class of 1977 and furthered her education at Bainbridge State College. Betty joined the workforce and worked several different jobs over the years: Bainbridge Truck-Stop, Cooking Good, Thomas & Betts, Costal Lumber Company, but eventually Betty returned to her true calling, southern style cooking! Betty continued to work for nearly 25 years with Riverview Plantation of Camilla, Georgia. Betty was preceded in death by her father, George Tucker, her mother, Mary Virginia Smith, her brother, Willie C. Smith, and her daughter, Tawanna Denise Washington.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Nikita W. Carter of Bainbridge, Georgia, a granddaughter of Savannah State University. Four sisters: Ethel B. Stephens of Fort Myers, Florida, Patricia Smith, Gwendolyn D. Smith, Marilyn S. McField(Anthony), all of Bainbridge, Georgia, Two Brothers, Amos Smith(Patricia) of Bainbridge, Georgia, Major Smith of Fort Myers, Florida, Two Special nieces, Katlyn(Nazara)Smith, and Carmen(Jalotha)Smith and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
