Bernard Jenkins was born on April 18, 1991 to Cynthia Smith Jenkins and Derrick Jenkins, Sr. in Attapulgus, Georgia. He received CHRIST at an early age as a member of Emanuel Baptist Church. He attended the public school system of Decatur County. Bernard was loved by everyone he met, he never met a stranger, he always had a smile on his face! He was affectionately known as “Paw Gates”. Bernard was very adventurous, he moved to Houston, Texas over ten years ago to begin his life as an adult. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Rosa Smith and Evelyn Bullock, an aunt, Carolyn Smith and special cousin, Corey Philmore.

He leaves to cherish his life's memory, His mother, Cynthia Smith Jenkins and his father Derick Jenkins, Sr. of Attapulgus, Georgia. Two brothers: Derrick Jenkins, Jr.(Brittany), and Lanorris Jenkins of Bainbridge, Georgia. One daughter, Krizima Lynn Fears, and a son, Baby royce Bernard Jenkins of Houston, Texas, his very special friend , Alicia Bell of Houston, Texas, his aunt Phyllis Jenkins of Fowlstown, Georgia. Uncles: Rodrick Smith, Michael Jenkins of Bainbridge, Georgia, and Anthony Jenkins(Latasha) of Attapulgus, Georgia.

While living in Texas he was working with FAS Industries, LLC, with his home away from home family: Vincent Griggs, Anthony Ford, Derrick Hicks, New York, and Jew. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great aunts, great uncles, and cousins who will all love him and miss him. Country Gang Forever!
