Annie Margaret (King) Shina

Annie Margaret Shina was born to the late Jessie Chandler and Alkania Johnson King Chandler. She departed her earthly home on June 19, 2020. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Saint Thomas Missionary Baptist Church, Fowlstown, Georgia. Annie was a faithful member of the choir. Annie was educated in the Decatur County School System. Annie worked as a caregiver and nurse assistant for many years. Annie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Anifowose Tony Shina on September 14, 1993. Annie cared for many children throughout her lifetime though she never had any biological children of her own she loved all of them as though they were her own. Annie had seven sisters and four brothers who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories, a very loving and devoted husband, Anifowose Tony Shina. In her earlier years of life she raised three siblings, Kadajah Harris (James) of Atlanta, Georgia; Vanessa Brenton (Thomas) of Hazlehurst, Georgia; and Lamerrio Casteel of Attapulgus, Georgia. She later went on to adopt Bitisha Shina and Alkania Shina both of Bainbridge, Georgia. At the time of her demise she was caring for Nataly Carlton, Gracie Carlton and Da’Niyah Peak. Three sisters, Mamie Washington of Fowlstown, Georgia; Gloria Pearson of Fowlstown, Georgia; and Betty Foster of Bainbridge, Georgia; three brothers, Willie King (Rose) of Bainbridge, Georgia; Lloyd King of Fowlstown, Georgia; and James King of Thomasville, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Toyin and Dewunmi, one brother-in-law, Ade all of London, England. God-Mother, Eva Lowe of Crestview, Florida; two best friends, Caroline Aboderin of Missouri City, Texas; Jacqueline Greer of Tallahassee, Florida; one god daughter, Dr. Morayo Adebiyi of Missouri City, Texas and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
