Amber Darice Jones, raised and nurtured by her devoted mother, Sammantha Smith (Harrison) who was not only her mom but her best friend and confidant was born on December 22, 1991. On August 2, 2019 the Lord called Amber to her Heavenly Home. Amber confessed her life to Christ at the age of ten at Friendship House of Prayer in Cairo, Georgia. She later moved her membership to Priestly Praise Ministry in Bainbridge, Georgia. She loved to praise dance every time the family got together. Amber was educated in the public schools of Grady County and graduated from Cairo High School Class of 2011. She was a valued employee as a Correctional Officer in Sneed, Florida. She studied and worked for what she wanted. She always wanted to work in this field. Amber was very proud of herself she had faith in every move she made, even when others doubted her. She believed she would and she did, but God! She also worked in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida as well as Collins Family Mortuary in Bainbridge, Georgia. On March 3, 2009 Amber became a mother to her first born son, Jaylon Jones. Her second born was a beautiful baby girl, Jakeyah Jones. Her third born was Ayden Jones and six months later gave birth to another son, Ashtin Jones. She loved all four of her children. Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents, Geraldine Johnson Herring, Perry Duval, Jr., Katherine Jones, and one aunt, Betty Jones. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her three sons, Jaylon, Ayden, Ashtin and one daughter, Jakeyah Jones all of Tallahassee, Florida; her loving and devoted mother, Sammantha Smith (Harrison) of Tallahassee, Florida; birth mother, Gladys Perry (Willie) of Attapulgus, Georgia; loving father, Bernard Johnson (Latania) of Orlando, Florida; her grandmother, Margret Clemons, four sisters, Natasha Jones (Damiun), Bre’Asia Johnson, Taniyah Jones, and Jordyn Johnson, five brothers, Bernard Johnson, Jr. (Miesha), JaDamiun Johnson, Danny Barker III, Brandon Vicks (Angel) and LaVontay Jones, one god brother, J’sai Smart and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
