Mrs. Betty Jean Foster Borden was born July 28, 1949 to the late Mr. Johnny Foster and Mrs. Lizzie Mae Royal Foster in Early County, Georgia (Damascus). Betty, better known as "Bett" was a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church. Earlier in life, she became a member of John The Baptist M.B. Church where she served on the Usher Board. Sister Bett moved from Damascus, Georgia to Bainbridge, Georgia at an early age. She received her education in Early County School System. She was employed with Elberta Crate & Box Factory for over 30 years until she retired. Sister Borden lived a beautiful life. She met and married the love of her life, Mr. Charles Borden on August 1, 2001. Bett was the backbone of the Foster Family. She helped raise her nieces and nephews. If either one of them needed her, she was always there. She enjoyed being around her family, cookouts, and sitting on her porch. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her. Sister Borden was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters: Mrs. Rossie Lee Fields, Mrs. Nellie Mae Davis, Ms. Mary Jane Foster, Ms. Emma Foster and Ms. Bonnie Sue Foster and four brothers: Mr. John C. Foster, Mr. Willie Lee Foster, Mr. Earnest N. Foster and Mr. James Lawrence Foster. Mrs. Borden leaves behind to cherish her memory; a devoted husband, Mr. Charles Borden, One loving sister, Ms. Shirley Ann Foster (Willie Charles), two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Betty Foster and Ms. Mary Borden, one brother-in-law, Mr. James Borden (Lisa), one aunt, Mrs. Lula B. Rush, two special nieces, Shycara CoCo Perkins and Karen Williams and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom all loved her very much.
